TeeShoppen was founded by Benjamin Philip, who discovered his passion for clothing and fashion at the age of 14 while working in the stockroom of a clothing store in Aalborg. Inspired by this experience, Benjamin began creating his own clothing brand, initially focusing on printed t-shirts. However, he quickly identified a significant demand for simple, plain t-shirts. This discovery marked the beginning of what we now know as TeeShoppen—a company dedicated to high-quality basic clothing.
The first customers were Benjamin’s friends and family, and soon the word spread to their networks. TeeShoppen gradually expanded, moving from storage space in his brother’s attic to a friend’s parents' garage. “I’ve always believed that winners are losers who never gave up,” says Benjamin. This mindset became the foundation of TeeShoppen, where values like being bold, persistent, innovative, responsible, and ego-free are at the heart of the company culture.
A Weekend That Changed Everything
The First Major Breakthrough
Sometimes, major breakthroughs start with a single idea. For TeeShoppen, the first turning point came when Benjamin decided to combine the company’s most popular products—pants and t-shirts—into a bundled package at an attractive price.
“I clearly remember how we launched the campaign on a Friday,” Benjamin recalls. “We had high hopes but no idea what was in store for us.” By Monday, they were met with an incredible surprise: TeeShoppen had received over 3,000 orders in just two days.
“It was a moment that was both euphoric and terrifying,” Benjamin laughs. “It was just Daniel and me handling the chaos. The warehouse was packed to the brim, and we spent the entire week packing orders and trying to keep everything in order.”
Daniel wasn’t just a colleague—he was Benjamin’s childhood friend. The two shared a strong work ethic and a close bond, which proved invaluable during this hectic period. At the time, Daniel was helping out with painting jobs, but he quickly became an indispensable part of TeeShoppen. Today, he serves as the warehouse manager, overseeing much of the company’s daily operations alongside a dedicated team.
“What made this milestone truly special was the feeling that we achieved it together—not just as colleagues, but as friends,” Benjamin explains. “We learned that when we work hard and stand together, we can overcome anything.”
That weekend not only marked TeeShoppen’s first major breakthrough but also laid the foundation for a company culture built on friendship, innovation, and teamwork.

It’s about making decisions that truly make a difference. For example, a customer ordered a Christmas gift on December 23, but the pickup point she chose was closed. Benjamin personally packed the order and drove two hours from Aalborg to Skive to ensure the gift was under the tree on time. In another instance, a customer ordered a suit that didn’t fit for a wedding the next day. Mads from the warehouse drove six hours from Aalborg to Copenhagen to personally deliver the right suit, ensuring the customer was ready for the event.
